L.A. mayoral hopeful Spencer Pratt states his administration will collaborate with ICE.

Spencer Pratt, a former reality TV personality and candidate for mayor in Los Angeles, stated that his administration would collaborate with the federal government on immigration enforcement, including with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), if elected.

During a campaign kickoff event at Don Antonio’s restaurant in West Los Angeles, Pratt discussed various issues he plans to address as mayor.

In a video shared on X, Pratt contributed his thoughts to the immigration enforcement conversation, suggesting that the real issue isn’t “enforcement,” but rather the way Mayor Karen Bass has allegedly ignored the law for political reasons.

“Karen Bass’ blatant disregard for federal law for her own political gain is causing chaos and instability,” Pratt remarked to the crowd. “If I’m elected, I’ll engage with the federal government in a firm yet compassionate approach, prioritizing public safety. We will remove violent offenders from our streets, allowing law-abiding families to live without fear.”

“This method isn’t extreme; it’s responsible,” he added.

Pratt expressed satisfaction with the support he has received thus far in his campaign.

“It’s incredible to see so many people here ready for genuine change. Those familiar with Los Angeles are at their breaking point. I’ve been waiting for someone to take action and resolve this crisis,” he shared.

“The city needs more than just another politician making deals. We require leadership that is accountable and focused on delivering real outcomes. No more cover-ups and corruption. Enough of self-serving interests. We’re finished with all of that,” Pratt continued.

Having experienced the devastating impact of the Palisades fire—where his own home was lost—Pratt has been vocal about holding Mayor Bass and the city accountable for their inadequate response to the disaster. He officially announced his mayoral campaign last month.

Recently, Pratt demanded the dismissal of top Los Angeles Fire Department officials due to their alleged failure to adequately respond to the fire that claimed lives and destroyed thousands of homes.

“We will investigate what led to the tragic loss of those 12 lives and the destruction of 7,000 buildings,” he stated. “Until we have accountability and those responsible are removed, progress is impossible.” This includes the fire chief, the battalion captain, and potentially the mayor.

Los Angeles has been in the news lately following police chief Jim McDonnell’s announcement that he would not enforce a newly enacted state law prohibiting federal employees from wearing masks while working.

“The idea of one armed agency confronting another over a violation that might be classified as a misdemeanor is nonsensical,” McDonnell explained to reporters.

In a related development, a federal judge recently blocked Governor Gavin Newsom’s mask law.

Additionally, there have been instances where anti-ICE protests have escalated into violence and property destruction, disrupting legitimate federal law enforcement efforts.
