Families of victims express gratitude to President Trump for his actions against illegal immigration.

During a ceremony on Monday, individuals whose family members were reportedly killed by illegal immigrants expressed their appreciation to President Donald Trump as his administration continues to address the issue of illegal immigration in the U.S.

Alison Phillips, whose 22-year-old daughter Laken Riley was murdered by a Venezuelan national on February 22, 2024, conveyed her deep gratitude to the president. She remarked to Trump that he is undertaking “a thankless job that very few people would do” and emphasized, “I can’t thank him enough.”

Jodi Jones, whose brother Rocky was shot multiple times, shared her frustration about discussions among Democrats regarding the separation of “criminal illegal aliens” from their families. She passionately questioned, “What about us? What about the American family? What about us? We mean something too. And this man here understands that.”

Jones strongly declared her love for America, her family, and President Trump, thanking him and conveying her appreciation with, “You’re the one.”

On that day, the President announced a proclamation designating February 22, 2026, as National Angel Families Day.

In his statement, Trump urged Americans to come together in their places of worship to remember victims of violence caused by illegal aliens and those affected by the opioid crisis. His declaration also called for public officials and citizens alike to put an end to the violence and lawlessness that has taken numerous innocent lives.
