Denise Richards required to pay her ex 30K in lawyer fees and 5K monthly

Denise Richards is facing financial difficulties.

A judge recently mandated that the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star must pay $5,000 monthly in temporary spousal support, in addition to $30,000 for attorney fees.

After the ruling, a visibly upset Richards tweeted, “I can’t afford that.”

In court, she talked briefly about her finances during her marriage to Aaron Phypers from 2018 to 2025. She mentioned having “blown through everything I had built” and struggling to cover her lawyer’s fees.

When asked about investments, Richards simply said, “I don’t have anything.” She noted that she had some mutual funds in various IRAs from her twenties, but her previous managers were unhelpful in informing her about their whereabouts.

Richards’ attorney, Mark Gross, pointed out that she has a child with special needs, stating, “The costs are pretty insane.”

Additionally, it came to light that Richards had paid her ex-boyfriend $4,800 in back rent to avoid litigation. “He’s not going to pay for it,” she remarked.

The judge suggested a payment plan of $10,000 per month for three months, starting at the end of March, which Richards and her legal team agreed upon.

The judge also emphasized that the $30,000 for attorney’s fees should not be allocated toward Phypers’ criminal defense. He is currently facing four felony charges linked to an alleged assault on Richards, which he denies.

For the spousal support, the judge recommended breaking it down to $2,000 for rent, $1,000 for a car, $1,000 for food, and the remaining amount for other expenses.

Richards’ “fans only” account emerged as a point of discussion during the court session. Phypers’ attorney, Michael Finley, suggested that his client should receive half of the earnings from that account, claiming that he took the photo and thus holds the intellectual property rights.

After the hearing, Phypers and his attorney discussed the potential revenue from the OnlyFans account. Finley mentioned, “It seems like Ms. Richards is trying to keep that kind of information about her income more private.”

Phypers had earlier disclosed that he only had $200 to his name. When asked if $5,000 a month would be beneficial, he replied, “It certainly would. Right now, we’re taking it one day at a time.”
