U.S. Central Command Releases Missile Footage
On Saturday, U.S. Central Command shared video of American missiles hitting various targets within Iran.
The footage captures Tomahawk cruise missiles launched from a U.S. Navy vessel, alongside different fighter jets taking off from the same ship.
Aerial videos presented missiles striking five distinct targets, which included aircraft and radar installations.
Centcom commented, “As the President has stated, our goal is to safeguard the American people by neutralizing the immediate threat from the Iranian regime.” They also noted that the President had called for decisive action, asserting, “CENTCOM forces are delivering an overwhelming and unrelenting blow.”
The operation, named Operation Epic Fury, represents what they describe as “the largest regional concentration of American military firepower in a generation.”
The aim is to disrupt the Iranian regime’s security structures, particularly in areas deemed an immediate threat.
Early in the morning, U.S. and Israeli forces began assaults targeting facilities associated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iranian air defenses, missile and drone launch areas, and military airstrips.
In addition to conventional weaponry launched from various platforms, CENTCOM’s Task Force Scorpion Strike used “the first unidirectional attack drone in combat.”
Admiral Brad Cooper, Centcom commander, stated, “The President has ordered bold action, and our courageous service members are rising to the occasion.”
Following the initial assaults, CENTCOM reported successfully repelling numerous Iranian missile and drone strikes.
Currently, there have been no indications of casualties among U.S. forces or any combat-related injuries.
Moreover, U.S. facilities in the region encountered “minimal” damage, with operations remaining uninterrupted.
