Car Crash Involving Voice Actor Eugene Merman

Voice actor and comedian Eugene Merman, known for his role in “Bob’s Burgers,” was seriously injured in a car accident at a toll plaza. State troopers, who were nearby for the governor’s security detail, rescued him from the burning wreckage.

The New Hampshire State Police reported that the incident occurred just before noon on Tuesday when an electric vehicle, heading north, crashed into the Bedford Toll Plaza and caught fire.

Governor Kelly Ayotte’s security detail, led by State Police Colonel Mark Hall, arrived quickly on the scene. They managed to pull Merman from the vehicle through the window.

Interestingly enough, the governor attempted to retrieve a fire extinguisher but found it unnecessary due to the circumstances.

“Eugene was in a very horrific car accident,” confirmed his agent, Jay Glassner, in a statement issued on Wednesday. He went on to express Merman’s gratitude to the witnesses, first responders, and hospital staff who aided him. The family, however, requests privacy as Merman focuses on recovery.

Hall described the rescuers’ efforts as “heroic,” acknowledging their willingness to put themselves at risk to help others.

The driver involved has been identified as Evgeny Milman, 51, from Massachusetts. Milman, originally from Moscow and raised in Massachusetts, has worked not only on “Bob’s Burgers” but also had appearances in “Flight of the Conchords,” “Delocated,” and “Archer.”

Governor Ayotte stated that she and her husband are praying for Milman’s swift recovery. She also expressed gratitude to the police officers and bystanders for their courageous actions at the scene.

The investigation into the accident remains ongoing, and as of now, no charges have been filed.
