Good Samaritan attacked by the person he tried to assist in Florida: video

A shocking incident was captured on video, revealing how a man attacked a good Samaritan in Florida after crashing his car.

Hans Hamilton, the man who stopped to help, described the experience, saying, “This man tried to kill me.” He sustained a brain hemorrhage and broken ribs during the altercation, expressing that he hopes no one else has to endure such violence.

Hamilton was driving on Highway 429 near Walt Disney World when he saw a white Lexus that had crashed into a guardrail. Initially, the driver seemed incapacitated, but as Hamilton stopped to assist, the man suddenly sprang up and jumped onto the hood of Hamilton’s Tesla, shattering the windshield.

The dashcam footage showed the driver, later identified as 44-year-old Daniel Coman, repeatedly attacking Hamilton, delivering punches to his face and body for around 30 seconds.

As the brutal assault happened, Hamilton eventually managed to break free and retaliated by hitting Coman in the throat to make him stop. The video depicts Hamilton walking away while Coman lay on the ground.

Deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrived quickly, with Coman attempting to confront them aggressively. According to the arrest report, he was waving his hand, seemingly preparing to strike an officer.

Hamilton cooperated with law enforcement to help detain Coman, who was charged with multiple offenses including assault on a police officer and resisting arrest.

Further investigation revealed that Coman was also connected to another hit-and-run incident occurring just south of the crash site earlier that morning, although details were not disclosed.

Meanwhile, Hamilton was hospitalized for his injuries, which included a severe brain bleed, concussion, and four broken ribs. He expressed his intent to help others, saying he just wanted to “do the right thing.”

He noted the physical and emotional toll the incident has taken on him, emphasizing the overwhelming pain he suffered.

Coman had a court date scheduled for Tuesday, but he was absent due to being hospitalized for unknown reasons. He remained in custody at the Orange County Jail as of Thursday night.
