President Trump Hints at Potential Iran Deal Amid Ongoing Negotiations
US special forces have undertaken a bold mission to extract a downed F-15E weapons systems officer trapped in Iran. President Trump approved this operation, delivering a 48-hour ultimatum regarding negotiations with Iran, accompanied by threats to destroy everything and seize control of oil resources. He also promised to target Iranian power plants and bridges.
In another development, Israel has confirmed the death of Brig.-Gen. Majid Kademi, the head of intelligence for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in a precision strike. Alongside him, Asghar Bagheri, the Quds Force’s special operations commander, was reportedly eliminated as well.
A senior Israeli official described Kademi as a crucial figure within the Revolutionary Guards, noting his ability to survive multiple targeted attacks from the US and Israel over the past year. He was known for running an intelligence unit that struggled to detect significant operations from these nations, which revealed major weaknesses in Iran’s security framework.
The Israeli official stated that Kademi was heavily involved in attempts to breach US systems and had considerable coordination with Russia. His death could potentially strain Iran’s intelligence leadership further, especially as the regime faces ongoing pressure.
While it appears Bagheri was killed during the same assault, there has been no official confirmation from the Israeli Defense Forces regarding his status.
According to an official, Bagheri not only recruited operatives across the Middle East but also led attacks against American forces in Iraq and Syria, contributing to American troop casualties.
Kademi had decades of experience in intelligence and counter-espionage and had risen through Iran’s security ranks. Before becoming the intelligence chief, he had overseen the Defense Force’s internal surveillance and counterintelligence operations.
The Revolutionary Guards’ Intelligence Department is recognized as one of Iran’s most influential security entities, focusing on domestic surveillance to combat foreign interference, often working parallel to the Ministry of Civil Intelligence.
