UCLA’s Lauren Betts Reacts to Meeting LeBron James

Even national champions have their standout moments.

In a recent video that surfaced online, Lauren Betts, the center for the UCLA women’s basketball team, was caught having an emotional reaction after crossing paths with LeBron James on Tuesday night.

Betts, who just celebrated her team’s victory over South Carolina in the NCAA Tournament, attended a ceremony at the Crypto.com Arena where she received an award from the Los Angeles Lakers. During the event, she shared a moment of silent astonishment with James.

“Guys, guys, guys,” Betts exclaimed, visibly trying to hold back tears. “LeBron made eye contact with me. Damn it, LeBron James!”

Interestingly, James was unable to play in the Lakers’ game against the Thunder due to a left foot injury. However, Betts seemed quite unfazed by his absence from the court.

This marks an exciting new chapter for Betts, especially after a whirlwind week.

After the Bruins’ championship win in Phoenix, she and her teammates were welcomed like heroes back on their campus, and they even made an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

Moreover, they were scheduled to attend another game later on Wednesday at the Intuit Dome.

Looks like the rewards truly do go to the victors.
