Aisha Howard accuses NBA player Anthony Edwards of deliberately concealing assets to evade child support responsibilities for their daughter, Aubrey.
In a child support petition filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Howard claims to have found evidence that the Minnesota Timberwolves star maintains a “substantial and continuing business and financial presence in California,” according to court documents obtained by Page Six.
Howard noted that she has established a business LLC and trademark in California, manages operations there, and holds a bank account in Beverly Hills. She also mentioned having current and past agreements with sports agents based in the state.
According to her documents, there’s newly uncovered evidence indicating that for around six years, Edwards has had a business, financial, and economic presence in California.
Howard argues that this evidence supports the notion of minimal contact for out-of-state parents regarding child support obligations.
In her filing, Howard contends that Edwards misrepresented his ties to California, stating under oath that he had no personal or business connections to the state, which impacted the court’s jurisdictional decisions.
Now, she is seeking a renewal of her original child support order in California, asserting that Edwards intentionally hid assets, thus influencing a prior judgment on jurisdiction.
In October 2024, Page Six previously reported that Edwards had filed a paternity and child support complaint in Georgia a month prior.
During that same time, Howard, who has another son named Jason with rapper Lil Baby, revealed that she quietly welcomed a daughter named Aubrey.
By February 2025, it was reported that Howard requested for the paternity and child support case to be moved to California after Edwards initiated a lawsuit in Georgia.
In court documents, Howard stated that she and Edwards had spent time together in several cities during the off-season while he played for the Timberwolves, but in January 2024, she learned about her pregnancy.
It’s alleged that when she told Edwards about the pregnancy, he reacted negatively, cut off communication, and suggested she should “get an abortion.”
Edwards is known to be the father of three children with three different women. His daughter Aislinn was born in March 2024 with his girlfriend Shannon Jackson, and he has two other children—daughter Alice, 2, and son Amir, 2.
His acknowledgment of these children outside his relationship with Jackson remains unconfirmed.
