Trump: U.S. Navy Enforces Blockade in Strait of Hormuz

Globalists at the WSJ Call for Ground Troops in Iran

U.S. Navy to Blockade Ships in Strait of Hormuz

On Sunday, President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. Navy would initiate a blockade of vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. This announcement follows Iran’s earlier claim that it would allow passage through the strait, which it ultimately did not fulfill.

In his statement, Trump expressed, “The meeting went well and agreement was reached on several points, but the key issue—it wasn’t about nuclear matters. Starting immediately, the United States Navy, the finest in the world, will commence blocking any ships trying to enter or exit the Strait of Hormuz.” He shared this in a post on Truth Social early Sunday morning.

He elaborated:

Eventually, we will establish a standard where “everyone can come in and everyone can go out,” but Iran hasn’t allowed that, suggesting instead that “there might be a mine somewhere,” which only they seem to know about. This amounts to global blackmail, and leaders—especially in the United States—will not be intimidated. I’ve instructed the Navy to intercept and search vessels in international waters that have harmed Iran. Those who pay illegal tolls will find their journeys on the high seas less secure.

We will also start dismantling landmines placed by Iran in the strait. Any Iranians who fire at us or non-aggressive vessels will face severe consequences. Iran is fully aware of how to resolve this situation, which is already wreaking havoc on their country. Their navy is ineffective, their air force is diminished, and their anti-aircraft capabilities are largely non-functional, all due to their nuclear aspirations. A lockdown is imminent. Other nations will join this blockade, and Iran must not be allowed to benefit from this act of coercion. They seek funds, and, more critically, they desire nuclear weapons. When the time is right, our forces will be fully prepared to act decisively against Iran!

Meanwhile, on Saturday, Vice President J.D. Vance reported that the U.S. delegation chose to pause peace negotiations with Iran after 21 hours when it became evident that the Iranian government would not accept the terms proposed by the United States, as cited by Breitbart News.

“We had numerous substantial discussions with the Iranian representatives, which is encouraging. The disappointing part is that we reached no agreement, which I believe is likely worse for Iran than it is for us. So, we’re returning to the U.S. empty-handed,” Vance noted.

In related news, reports surfaced mentioning that two U.S. warships, the USS Franklin Petersen and the USS Michael Murphy, had traversed the channel on Saturday.

Some sources have described the Strait of Hormuz as a “powder keg,” being only 34 miles wide at its narrowest point and rife with mines, making it susceptible to missile and drone attacks from Iran. The report cautioned that any attempts by the U.S. Navy to secure or block the strait could result in significant casualties.

In another post on Sunday, Trump stated, “Iran asserted they would open the Strait of Hormuz but failed intentionally, resulting in insecurity and distress for many nations globally. They claim mines are laid beneath the waters, despite their navy and much of their ‘mine-dropping equipment’ being decimated.” He also remarked on the lengthy nature of the negotiations, which lasted nearly 20 hours, asserting, “The critical takeaway is that Iran is unwilling to relinquish its nuclear ambitions!”

However, he firmly reiterated, “Iran will never possess nuclear weapons!”
