Domestic Violence Charges Against Taylor Frankie Paul Dismissed

Reality TV star Taylor Frankie Paul will not be facing new charges related to domestic violence, as confirmed by the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors indicated earlier this week that they will not proceed with additional charges against Paul. Back in February, two police departments in Utah initiated separate investigations involving her and her former girlfriend, Dakota Mortensen.

As reported, the DA’s office stated that the incidents under investigation date back over two years, and thus the statute of limitations has expired.

In a related incident, Mortensen allegedly claimed that Paul scratched her during a heated argument in February; however, Paul maintains her innocence. The district attorney’s office noted that the accusations did not provide enough evidence for criminal prosecution.

Notably, Paul had previously pled guilty to charges related to an incident involving Mortensen in 2023. Any new allegations could violate her parole.

Authorities in West Jordan, Utah, have been looking into domestic violence accusations connected to a 2024 incident reportedly involving Paul and her ex-boyfriend. According to official statements, investigations are ongoing, with detectives examining recorded footage from early to mid-2024 to clarify the situation.

Police confirmed a separate inquiry was launched regarding both Paul and Mortensen, with charges reported around February 24 and 25.

Following the resurfacing of these incidents, Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” has been canceled. Her spokesperson mentioned that she is grateful for the support she’s received while emphasizing the importance of her family’s safety after enduring years of abuse and threats.

As investigations continue, no new charges have been filed at this moment.
