A troubling TikTok video has gained significant attention, featuring a pregnant woman who decided to play an ABBA song in hopes of influencing her unborn child’s sexual orientation. The video sparked a wave of supportive comments from many mothers on social media.
In the clip, she can be seen spray-painting the phrase “Give me a man after midnight” on her belly.
One host from Blaze TV expressed her disbelief at comments like, “My son is 4 years old and he listens to Sabrina Carpenter exclusively. My expectations for him being gay are very high.”
Another user shared joy, commenting, “My son just officially came out a few months ago,” accompanied by a cheering emoji.
Another mother added, “My son was born from ‘Dancing Queen.’ I have high expectations for him.”
Stuckey criticized the notion of wishing sexual identities on children, stating, “It’s kind of unsettling to think about children’s sexuality. While I’m a Christian and believe homosexuality is a sin, I believe it’s also wrong to promote ideas like this.”
She emphasized that encouraging traditional masculine qualities in boys is important, arguing that society shouldn’t push such expectations. “Yes, it might seem old-fashioned, but it resonates with truth,” she remarked.
Stuckey drew a comparison between these parental hopes and “conversion therapy,” labeling the attitudes as “very, very grotesque.”
In her book, she discusses the concept of “toxic mom culture,” where mothers sometimes prioritize their own validation and social image over their children’s well-being. “I think what this mother is doing is awful. Children should not be part of progressive social experiments without consent; that’s just not right,” she added.
