Rogan claims that the media’s obsession against Trump is driving assassination attempts.

Rogan claims BBC is 'totally dishonest' about Trump in editing controversy

Podcaster Joe Rogan recently engaged in a discussion with Congressman Tim Burchett regarding the various threats on former President Donald Trump’s life. Rogan suggested that the media’s portrayal of Trump, which he termed “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” plays a significant role in these events.

The alleged assassination attempt at the WHCA dinner has been particularly alarming, but it’s just the latest incident in a long line of threats that began in Butler, Pennsylvania, back in 2024. Some skeptics continue to doubt the validity of that initial assassination attempt, with some suggesting the WHCA incident may have been orchestrated to support Trump’s ballroom initiative.

Rogan expressed disbelief at claims suggesting the original incident was a hoax, remarking, “People who say that don’t know anything about guns.” He highlighted how, during the first attempt, a bullet merely grazed Trump’s ear, suggesting that it was improbable for anyone to orchestrate such an event from a distance of 140 yards.

Burchett contended that the security failures witnessed during the first incident should be viewed as a deliberate surrender rather than a mere breakdown. He humorously compared it to sneaking up on a rock concert, arguing for the gravity of the situation in Butler.

Burchett warned, “People don’t like him,” and added that the media’s influence over the public perception is deeply concerning, highlighting that many people simply don’t have the time to seek out nuanced truths about political figures.

Rogan reiterated this point, criticizing the media for radicalizing individuals who lack the resources or time to explore the complexities surrounding political matters. He noted how the persistent narrative surrounding Russian collusion has deeply affected public perception of Trump, potentially leading to severe consequences.
