David Bakhtiari Voices Concern for Brandon Aiyuk

David Bakhtiari has expressed skepticism about Brandon Aiyuk’s future in the NFL.

After Aiyuk, who has been struggling lately, was seen showing off large amounts of cash on Instagram, Bakhtiari took to social media to share his worries about the San Francisco wide receiver.

“I feel sorry for Brandon Aiyuk,” Bakhtiari mentioned. He went on to say, “Injury, fame, and money can pollute the mind.”

Bakhtiari further added, “If he’s really spinning and posting on social media, I hope his colleagues and inner circle influence him to get the help he needs instead of doing it for their own benefit. It seems clear that the direction he’s going in won’t end well for everyone involved.”

Aiyuk has faced a slew of negative headlines since 2024 after suffering a knee injury not long after securing a significant contract extension with the Niners.

The recent incident, where Aiyuk was accused of ghosting the 49ers after not playing for almost two full seasons, has raised concerns among those in the NFL.

According to reports, the 49ers have struggled to trade Aiyuk, with ESPN’s Adam Schefter stating that teams are hesitant to engage in discussions without having any communication with him.

Adding to the situation, San Francisco tight end George Kittle publicly mentioned in March that he hadn’t heard from Aiyuk since the latter half of the 2025 season.

Kittle expressed confusion, saying, “I don’t know what’s going on with Brandon. I don’t know what he’s thinking or what he’s thinking. I really don’t know.”

Aiyuk’s Instagram post, showcasing his cash, seemed to be a reaction to the negative press, featuring a photo of a merry-go-round and the caption, “Hey ❌❌ 2️⃣ I’m back in Ballin.”

Besides that brief comment, he offered little clarity regarding his thoughts or plans, which only added to Bakhtiari’s unease.
