The Jacksonville Jaguars surprised many in the NFL during the 2025 season.
After a rough 2024 campaign, where they recorded just 4 wins against 13 losses, players like Trevor Lawrence and Travis Hunter propelled the team to an impressive turnaround. They wrapped up the season with a strong record of 13 wins and 4 losses.
This drastic improvement can be credited to Lawrence’s standout performance, a defense that created turnovers, and a remarkable finish, winning eight games in a row.
Even though they ended their playoff journey with a close 27-24 loss to the Bills in the Wild Card round, it was a significant step forward for a team that hadn’t made the postseason for the second consecutive year.
But they aren’t resting on their laurels.
“The real work is just beginning, and we need to reload,” rookie head coach Liam Cohen mentioned back in January.
With the NFL schedule now set, Cohen’s team is ready to focus on what lies ahead for another successful season.
This year, fans can look forward to notable matchups at Jacksonville’s Everbank Stadium against teams like the AFC champion New England Patriots, led by Drake Maye (September 27), Daniel Jones’ Indianapolis Colts (November 1), TJ Watt’s Pittsburgh Steelers (December 14), and Jaden Daniels’ Washington Commanders for the final home game on January 2.
To bolster the roster, general manager James Gladstone brought in running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. and picked tight end Nate Verkacher in the second round of the draft to support Lawrence, Hunter, Josh Hynes-Allen, Travon Walker, and Foyesade Oluokun.
