Police share images of suspects in viral Chipotle Navy Yard fight.

Large fight breaks out in DC Chipotle shortly after new parent regulations

Jeanine Pirro Promises to Hold Parents Accountable in Teen Hijacking Cases

U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro for the District of Columbia is committed to prosecuting parents in response to a rise in violent incidents involving teenagers in the city. During a recent incident at a Chipotle in D.C., which involved a large brawl, she expressed her intent to take legal action against those responsible. Pirro also criticized the lack of cooperation from candidates running for mayor in D.C.

Images of four suspects related to the brawl at the Navy Yard Chipotle were released by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) on Tuesday evening. This investigation, joint with the FBI, was prompted by a disturbing video that surfaced on social media, showing adults and children seeking safety as chaos erupted.

The police are currently offering a reward of $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of each suspect, while the FBI is offering $5,000 per suspect.

In the shocking video, groups of teenagers can be seen attacking each other and throwing furniture, creating an intense scene. One suspect even weaponized a child’s high chair during the fracas, while onlookers tried to shield themselves from the turmoil.

The recent riots reflect a troubling trend of takeovers by youths throughout the capital, especially at the Navy Yard, with many of these incidents becoming violent.

Just a day before the incident, Pirro announced plans to pursue legal action against the parents of minors arrested for crimes occurring after the city’s summer curfew began.

Her statements garnered attention after the video went viral. She remarked, “These gatherings are far from harmless. They lead to violence and property destruction… If you are a parent and aware of your teen’s activities, allowing this behavior to continue means we will take action against you.”

Pirro’s approach includes potentially charging adults with contributing to a minor’s delinquency if their child is involved in late-night disturbances.

As of Wednesday morning, MPD did not provide any additional updates regarding the case. Meanwhile, inquiries were sent to the FBI for further information.
