Trump Campaign Event in New York Introduced by Jaxson Dart
During a campaign event in Rockland County, New York, President Donald Trump was introduced by New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart. Dart spoke on behalf of Representative Mike Lawler and kept his comments short yet engaging, leading the audience in a chant of “Go Big Blue!” before welcoming the president.
“What’s up? Big Blue Nation, it’s a pleasure to be here,” Dart said, expressing his honor in introducing Trump as the “45th and 47th president of the United States of America.”
Trump reciprocated Dart’s praise, calling him a “future Hall of Famer” and remarking positively on the quarterback’s physicality. He joked about Dart’s build while shifting to a larger discussion on transgender athletes in women’s sports.
“I’m looking at Jaxson. I’d like to know, is there any woman in the audience that thinks they can tackle that guy, because I’d like to meet you,” Trump quipped, adding humor by advising Dart against answering any follow-up questions.
The president took the opportunity to reference the Democrats’ recently released “autopsy” report on the 2024 election, highlighting its numerous typos and errors, which he ridiculed.
Dart has made headlines in the past, though he’s not typically one to engage in political discourse. Notably, he publicly expressed his condolences and called for an end to political violence following the tragic assassination of Trump ally Charlie Kirk.
Historically, Trump has garnered support from various NFL personalities, including the notable endorsement from Tom Brady, who famously displayed a MAGA hat during Trump’s first campaign.
