Surveillance Footage Links Man to Violent Incident and Abduction
Recent surveillance images seem to depict a man from Southern California, who is wanted in relation to a woman’s violent death and the kidnapping of her daughter, crossing into Mexico with the missing girl involved in the Amber Alert.
The images reportedly show 40-year-old Ruben Fregoso alongside 5-year-old Dariza Fregoso in San Diego at around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, just before they likely entered Mexico.
This troubling information emerged just a day before Los Angeles police found a woman’s body in a South Los Angeles residence during a welfare check.
The police were called to the 2600 block of South Alsace Avenue around 12:30 p.m. on Monday after officers were notified of potential concerns.
Upon their arrival, authorities discovered the body of an adult female within the home, as stated by the police.
“Initial investigations suggest that the victim died from violent circumstances,” they added.
Later that same day, the California Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert for Daleeza Fregoso, originally identified with a different spelling, but later corrected.
Although both Ruben and Daleeza share the same last name, police haven’t confirmed their relationship publicly.
According to investigators, Fregoso allegedly made comments that indicated he might have fled the country.
The white Land Rover believed to have been involved in the situation was found later in San Ysidro, but neither Ruben Fregoso nor the missing girl has been located.
Daleeza was last seen near the intersection of Alsace Avenue and Ferndale Street in the West Adams area of Los Angeles.
Footage from the scene documented investigators removing the body from the residence, while the coroner’s vehicle remained outside.
Ruben Fregoso is described as being 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing around 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Daleeza is about 3 feet tall and weighs around 45 pounds, also with black hair and brown eyes.
No further updates on the investigation have been provided by authorities.
