Recently, a startling video showed a baby caught in the midst of a fight between two men during a kindergarten graduation ceremony in Pennsylvania.
This incident took place last Thursday at Ben Franklin Elementary School in Harrisburg. Two men clashed near the chairs in a gym filled with families and children, as reported by WHP.
At one point, a man in a yellow hoodie and two individuals in white shirts ended up grappling on the floor, pulling each other down.
One of the men, visibly engaged in the confrontation, held onto the baby while putting his opponent in a headlock, which led to a nearby parent yelling, “Oh my god, get the baby!”
Fortunately, the baby was not harmed, but the scuffle between the men continued.
Eventually, the two were pulled apart, although the man in yellow was left with a bleeding tongue and needed to be restrained.
A chaotic scene unfolded as arms flew, and both individuals were pushed out of the gymnasium.
A man described by local authorities as the “aggressor” was charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing, though his identity remains unclear.
Captain Kyle Gautsch mentioned that “there was no need for further police involvement.”
This unsettling event quickly spread on social media, leaving local residents and school officials alarmed.
“It’s terrible,” commented Katherine Camilli. “I can’t believe that happened. Why would anyone fight at a graduation?”
A spokesperson for the Harrisburg School District expressed regrets over the incident, stating they absolutely do not condone such behavior on school grounds.
Interestingly, scuffles at kindergarten graduations seem somewhat on the rise this season. For instance, last month, Jessica Anderson faced charges for her role in a brawl at Queen of the Apostles Catholic School in Toledo, Ohio, where she was seen pulling another woman’s hair in a video.
