Glenn Beck Reveals Trump’s Private Lincoln Bedroom Tour
On the podcast “Pod Force One,” Glenn Beck, the CEO of Blaze Media, shared an intriguing experience with President Trump. He recounted how Trump once gave him a personal tour of Lincoln’s bedroom, along with some remarks that prompted Beck to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Beck explained that after their interview, Trump inquired if he had seen Lincoln’s bedroom and actually postponed a National Security Council meeting to give Beck a look inside. “We walked around,” Beck mentioned, “but he didn’t take the fast track.” He added that it felt like Trump was keen on showing him various parts of the White House.
As they went upstairs, Trump pointed out items in the Lincoln Bedroom and said certain things that required confidentiality. “When we left, I asked him, ‘Why?’ and he simply replied, ‘Nobody needs to know.'” Beck found it amusing, noting that Trump didn’t want that information public because, in his view, it could be perceived as weakness. “But to me, it actually shows humanity,” Beck countered.
The White House has yet to respond to requests for comment on this anecdote.
Insights from Mar-a-Lago Meeting
In another discussion, Beck recounted a conversation he had with Trump at Mar-a-Lago following a serious assassination attempt on July 13, 2024, in Pennsylvania. He was curious about Trump’s mindset while lying on the floor with Secret Service agents around him, after dodging a near-miss bullet.
Trump recalled thinking, “Wake up, wake up,” explaining that he refused to let fear control him. After sharing that moment, he defiantly stood up and raised his fist, despite his security team’s wishes to leave immediately.
Reflecting on his earlier skepticism toward Trump during the 2016 campaign, Beck mentioned a personal call he received from Trump offering condolences over his father’s passing. “It was a bit frustrating,” Beck admitted, recalling how Trump seemed on the verge of announcing his presidential run but had not yet done so. He candidly shared that he never viewed Trump as a genuine conservative, having thought of him as a New Yorker who might be corrupt. “I’ve actually apologized to him for misjudging him before,” Beck revealed. “And I still find myself thinking about it from time to time.”
