Is Bloom Energy (BE) the Top Energy Stock in Trump's Recent Portfolio?

Donald Trump’s stock portfolio features Bloom Energy (NYSE:BE) ranked at #4 among the best AI and tech options for 2026. This information pulls from Trump’s financial disclosure documents, released by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics. His investments are managed by third-party financial institutions with complete control over investment choices, as indicated by the Trump Organization.

Bloom Energy specializes in solid oxide fuel cells, supplying them primarily to data centers and AI infrastructure. Their technology allows for on-site electricity generation through mini-power plants, which function independently from the traditional power grid. With a manufacturing history of over 25 years, Bloom has developed a competitive advantage through precise assembly and specialized coatings, making their manufacturing process difficult to replicate or reverse-engineer.

Significantly, Bloom’s solid oxide fuel cells offer an electrical efficiency of 65 percent, far surpassing the 35 percent of traditional combustion turbines. This efficiency translates to reduced fuel waste, effectively generating more power from the same volume of natural gas, biogas, or hydrogen. Notably, Bloom secured a $2.6 billion, 10-year contract with Nebius in May 2026 for fuel cells with 328 MW of installed capacity. This agreement aims to power data centers and AI systems, allowing for immediate use without the lengthy connection time to the conventional grid. This deal is projected to generate stable cash flow of around $260 million annually, ensuring predictable revenue for Bloom.

“Bloom Energy Corporation is vital in providing clean, reliable, and perpetual electricity on a large scale. AI data centers demand immense power, and a key issue has been the traditional grid’s inability to meet these growing requirements. Bloom’s Energy Server fuel cells address this challenge by producing economical and consistent power on-site. With the rising need for distributed energy solutions that turn fuels into electricity without combustion, Bloom stands to gain considerably from expanding capacity and succeeding in new projects with hyperscalers and industrial clients.”
