Vandalism Blamed for Lincoln Memorial’s Reflecting Pool Condition

President Donald Trump expressed concerns about vandalism at the Lincoln Memorial’s reflecting pool after noticing new paint degradation and algae growth, which occurred shortly after a costly $16 million renovation.

In a post, Trump stated, “U.S. Park Police has arrested multiple individuals for destroying our nation’s magnificent reflecting pools. Who would do that? These are very serious crimes related to the destruction of national monuments. Years in prison! Restoration work begins immediately.” This was shared on his True Social account.

The host of Blaze TV, Stu Bruguiere, raised doubts about whether vandalism truly caused the pool’s problems, saying, “I think Donald Trump has done some really good things, and there are parts of him that I’m really happy about his presidency. But do you think vandalism was the reason for tearing up the algae and the paint?” He posed this question on his show, “Stu and Dave Do America.”

Co-host Dave Landau chimed in, noting that it could be possible for vandalism to occur. “But that’s the thing. Because they would, it could have happened,” he said.

Even Stephen King, an outspoken liberal, reacted to the situation by claiming, “No one is destroying the Reflecting Pool, and President Trump knows it. This is a clear example of his corruption.” King criticized the renovation efforts, pointing to costly overruns and poor workmanship.

Bruguiere referred to Trump’s behavior as “weirdo.” In contrast, another group of activists is enraged over the algae being cleared from the pool, arguing that the ecosystem should be preserved. “Yes, they do exist, environmentalists who defend the algae,” Bruguiere remarked.

He noted that these activists are opposed to cleaning the reflecting pool at the Lincoln Memorial. TMZ captured footage of these angry protesters standing near the pool and chanting, “Let’s go, let’s go!”

Bruguiere’s frustration was evident when he commented, “We really should take this country off life support.”
