Stars Gather for World Cup Match

SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles hosted yet another noteworthy World Cup match recently.

Despite the absence of the United States team, the venue was packed with celebrities as Spain triumphed over Austria with a score of 3-0 in the Round of 32 on Thursday afternoon.

Spain’s star-studded presence transformed a section of the stadium into a unique version of Catalonia’s Celebrity Row.

Oscar winners Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem were seen mingling in one of the luxury suites.

Global music sensation Rosalía, despite her hectic travel schedule, made an appearance and even took a moment for a photo with FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

Numerous prominent Spanish footballers were in attendance as well, including 2023 Women’s World Cup champion Alexia Pateras, who happens to be a three-time Ballon d’Or winner.

She was accompanied by Carles Puyol, David Villa, Fernando Hierro, and Michel Salgado, all eagerly watching their team in action.

The crowd was treated to an impressive performance from Lamine Yamal, a young player who not only provided a stunning assist but also earned Man of the Match honors for his contribution to Spain’s easy victory over Austria.

Every precise touch from him seemed to draw extra cheers, with even the famous faces in the audience standing to applaud.

The celebrity lineup wasn’t limited to just the Spanish team. Rams head coach Sean McVay was in the mix, along with Olympic rugby star Ilona Maher, LAFC’s Carlos Vela, late-night host James Corden, and former Lakers player Derek Fisher.

This World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, has been a magnet for celebrity appearances, and the Round of 32 match was no exception.
