New Apartment on Bleecker Street Causes Disturbance

A homeless man known for his party-loving lifestyle, along with his girlfriend, has set up a new, fully furnished living space on the sidewalk of Bleecker Street, much to the dismay of local residents who say it’s causing more noise than ever before.

Referred to as Tiger, this man, who has a penchant for smoking and drinking, was removed from his previous outdoor hideout on Sullivan Street last month after significant media attention. He’s now returned to a neighborhood less than a block away.

Tiger, named for the orange-striped tail he occasionally sports, has claimed a small area measuring about 10 feet by 5 feet in front of the currently closed Cafe Espanol. This relocation happened roughly two weeks ago.

With assistance from his partner, whom he calls Nina, Tiger has decorated their new spot with lounge furniture, nightstands, rugs, trinkets, and glass bottles.

However, neighbors report that the couple’s behavior has worsened, with Nina often seen engaging in inappropriate actions in public and threatening locals who have voiced their concerns.

A 27-year-old attorney living in the area shared a troubling encounter. On June 9, as she returned from a visit to her boyfriend’s place, she noticed Nina following her for over ten minutes while making threats.

“As I walked down Bleecker Street, I heard her yelling, and when I turned around, she was pointing at me,” the woman recounted, understandably shaken.

In another instance, Nina reportedly yelled, “Fuck you, one word, hmm,” while tailing the woman, noting a twist of irony in their shared race.

She has since lodged a complaint with the local police precinct. Meanwhile, the intimidated woman has opted to avoid Bleecker Street entirely, now choosing to take Houston Street instead due to lack of action from city officials regarding the disruptive duo.

“If they could come back last time, what’s keeping them away now?” she pondered.
