Actor Christian Oliver, who died in a plane crash in the Caribbean this week along with his two daughters, has been paid tribute to by his wife in a new statement.
Jessica Klepser released a statement on behalf of her family through her employer, Wanderbar Pilates.
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic plane crash that claimed the life of our beloved family member on January 4, 2024,” her statement began, adding, “Our daughter, Madita ( Christian, 12 years old) and Annick (10 years old), and their father, Christian, were returning from a holiday in the Caribbean when the single-engine plane they were traveling in suffered engine trouble and fell into the sea. Unfortunately, four passengers in the small plane Not all people survived.”

After giving details of the incident, Klepser took time to share details about her two young daughters.
“Madita was a vibrant seventh-grader at Louis Armstrong Middle School who was known for her active spirit and excelled in academics, dancing, singing and performing,” she said. “Anik, her fourth grade student at Wonderland Avenue Elementary School, was known for her kind yet strong demeanor. She was always the first to say a kind word or comfort her. Her passion , basketball, swimming, and various forms of art.” ”
It added: “The deep bond, contagious laughter and sense of adventure that Madita and Annick shared will be sorely missed by their community.”
Klepser also talked about Oliver, noting that Oliver is an actor and real estate agent in both the United States and Europe. “His death will be deeply felt by all who knew him,” she said.

After requesting privacy for the family, the statement concludes with information about a GoFundMe campaign that has been set up for the family and asks that donations be made there in lieu of flowers.

The fundraiser, which has reached more than $80,000 of its $100,000 goal, was set up to “cover the costs of Christian and the girls' return home” as well as help with the costs of funerals and memorial services. . The development also includes potential legal costs, and donations “will go a long way in supporting Jessica and her extended family during this extremely difficult time,” according to GoFundMe details.
The incident in the Caribbean occurred on Thursday. Oliver and his daughters died when the plane they were traveling in “crashed into the ocean” shortly after takeoff from the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, officials and media reports said.

The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said the small single-engine aircraft, owned and operated by Bequia resident Robert Sachs, crashed into the ocean about 1 nautical mile west of Petit Island. Nevis around noon Thursday.
