A father and his young son were pulled from frigid waters by rescue divers Sunday afternoon near Pacifica, authorities said.
According to the North County Fire Department, multiple agencies converged north of Mori Point, California, after receiving a call about two relatives “in distress” around 12:32 p.m. Mercury News.
The swimmers reportedly brought the two men back to land just west of Sharp Park Golf Course, where doctors treated them and took them to San Francisco General Hospital.
Officials said the father and son are expected to be safe.
There were no injuries other than those involved in the rescue.
Fire officials stressed that swimmers can fatigue quickly in the ocean due to ocean currents and low temperatures in the water. NBC Bay Area reported.
