During Monday's broadcast of the Iowa caucuses on MSNBC, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D) said President Joe Biden would be the 2024 Republican presidential nominee if former President Donald Trump was still in office. He claimed to be handling the war in Ukraine and the conflict in the Middle East better than the United States. The Oval Office and President Trump have not shown that they can handle this situation.
“Look, what the White House has been doing is they're fighting something that has become America's mortal enemy, and that's Vladimir Putin,” Pritzker said. They are standing up for democracy in Ukraine. They are fighting terrorism in the Middle East. These are the messages that I think the Biden administration needs to make sure people get across. But look, no one likes war. We want to completely suppress and eliminate all of these. And I know the president wants that. But we need to have a prudent foreign policy expert in the White House who understands how to manage all of this in a very difficult environment. Do you think Donald Trump has shown he can do that? Do you think Donald Trump can handle this problem better than Joe Biden? The answer is clearly no. ”
