Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has again refused to appear before the House Homeland Security Committee, this time alongside other angel moms who have lost children to illegal alien crime and fentanyl poisoning.
Wednesday, House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mark Greene (R-Tenn.) revealed Mayorkas reportedly declined the opportunity to appear at a committee hearing on January 18th.
“The committee has given Secretary Mayorkas multiple opportunities to explain his actions, decisions, and statements to us and the American people,” Green said.
Over the past few months, he has tacitly rejected these offers, relying instead on political maneuvering and postponements. We wanted to include his oral testimony in the official record of these historic cases. But the commission, which is part of a co-equal government department, will not accept indefinite delays. Requesting written testimony from Secretary Mayorkas is a final opportunity to demonstrate respect for the people's representation and constitutional oversight obligations. The American people are pleading with Congress to act, and we will heed that call. Congressional oversight will continue regardless of Mayorkas' cooperation. [Emphasis added]

The latest data shows that the Department of Homeland Security, led by President Joe Biden, is targeting approximately 5 million border crossers and undocumented immigrants (in the first year of U.S. births) under a massive catch-and-release operation at the southern border. This suggests that the United States is accepting more foreigners into American society.

Angel mom Josephine Dunn, 26-year-old daughter ashley marie dunn He, who died of fentanyl poisoning, is also scheduled to speak at the hearing. In May 2021, Ashley bought what she believed was oxycodone, but it turned out to be fentanyl pills.
Ashley died on life support the day after her son Carter's fifth birthday.
Fentanyl is manufactured in Mexico, then trafficked across the southern border by Mexican drug cartels and ends up in American communities, killing tens of thousands of Americans every month.
In 2022, more than 100,000 Americans will die from drug overdose or poisoning, and nearly 70% of those deaths will be from fentanyl. The numbers show that fentanyl kills more Americans each year than car accidents or breast cancer.
