Donald Trump Jr. said Thursday on Newsmax TV's “Wake Up America” that former Fox News host Tucker Carlson is “absolutely” the candidate to be his father's running mate. .
Anchor Rob Finnerty said, “Trump says he's already chosen a vice president, but we can't say that. Back in 2016, De didn't choose someone to run for president. He chose Mike Pence, who was not a presidential candidate at the time. Did you see your dad running with Ron DeSantis?”
President Trump said, “We're going to do everything we can to make sure it's not Nikki Haley. But, you know, like Ron DeSantis, you know? You can never rule out a strong candidate. That doesn't mean it's the one to go to. There may be other great people out there. I hope you get to know JD Vance. I'd love to meet Tucker Carlson.”
Finnerty asked, “Don, is your father serious about Tucker Carlson?” Are those rumors serious? ”
President Trump said, “That's obviously on the table, right? I mean, I think they're very friendly and agree on just about everything. They certainly agree on stopping endless wars.'' So I'd love to see that come to fruition. That would certainly be a contender.”
