Ahead of March for Life, Leading Pro-Life Org Lays Out Political Plan

in advance of 51st March for LifeLeading pro-life organization Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America is committed to “serving mothers and saving babies,” including increasing funding for pregnancy resource centers and pushing for legislation to support pregnant women before and after childbirth. has become a political priority.

SBA Pro-Life America held a virtual press conference Thursday to set its focus more than a year after the Supreme Court's reversal. Roe v. Wade — On pro-life priorities that concern both mothers and babies.

“A woman should never feel pressured to abort a child due to circumstances beyond her control. There are approximately 3,000 pregnancy centers across the country that provide support to women and their families facing unplanned pregnancies. We also have other life-affirming resources available to help you get the critical care you deserve,” said SBA-ProLife America President Marjorie. Dannenfelser said this before the press conference.

“In this case, dobbs “Democrats and the abortion lobby have made it clear that they are abandoning 'pro-choice' and instead becoming 'pro-abortion,' advocating unlimited abortions on demand,” Dannenfelser continued. . “That’s why it’s imperative that we have pro-life advocates who expose the extreme abortion policies of the Democratic Party and the abortion lobby and contrast them with the compassionate needs of women and their children.”

Kelsey Pritchard, director of national communications, listed several of the organization's upcoming legislative priorities. These priorities will undoubtedly challenge the left's claim that pro-lifers are simply “pro-birth” and against women's interests..

“[W]“We will continue to advocate for more funding for pregnancy centers and the creation or expansion of tax credits for individuals and businesses that donate to pregnancy centers,” Pritchard said.

Democrats and pro-abortion groups have labeled pregnancy resource centers, which do not provide abortions and are often faith-based, asfake clinic'', and several states are trying to crack down on them on the grounds of “deceptive practices''. At the same time, many Republican-led states are increasing funding for these groups, especially as lawmakers pass bills restricting abortion.

“These centers really empower women to make real choices. They provide free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, health exams, parenting classes, supplies like food, diapers and clothing, and housing. We support women by providing them with financial support,” Pritchard said.

SBA Pro Life America also advocates for “an unborn child tax credit or credit that would allow mothers to collect child support during pregnancy,” as well as eliminating sales taxes on baby products such as diapers and formula. Planning.

“Second, we support more child care solutions. The child care landscape in this country requires not only quality child care and reliable parents, teachers and caregivers, but also affordable child care. “It's causing a lot of stress for parents who are in need,” added Mr Pritchard.

“That's why we're supporting child care funding and expanding access with tax credits for companies that start child care centers for their employees,” she continued.

The organization further states that “Each state's adoption policy to establish a package of services and supports for birth mothers and protection from online fraud targeting birth mothers and prospective adoptive parents. ”

“Once again this year, we are enacting the Safe Haven Baby Box Act, which establishes another lifesaving option, and funding to promote baby boxes so people know they exist. I intend to advocate for its creation,” Pritchard added.

The pro-women, pro-family priorities come ahead of a highly consequential Supreme Court decision, a presidential election, and attempts by pro-abortion groups to carry out a state-by-state takeover of abortion voting.
