President Biden said he does not believe the border is secure, adding that his stance has remained unchanged over the past decade as he continued to press for funding.
House Republicans continue to push to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, a move Biden said he doesn't understand, even as he acknowledges the border is not secure.
Fox News reporter Jackie Heinrich asked Biden if he thought House Republicans' efforts to impeach Mayorkas were unconstitutional, to which the president responded with a puzzled look.

Henrich also asked Biden if he thought the border was safe.
“No, it’s not,” Biden said. “I didn't believe that for the last 10 years. And I've been saying it for the last 10 years…Give me your money.”
He was then asked if he thought his policies partly enabled the border crisis.

“No, I asked for thousands more…from the judge…just about everything,” Biden said.
Earlier this month, Biden came under fire from critics for saying he had done “something” at the US southern border, which is facing unprecedented levels of illegal immigration.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials told Fox News Digital that the number of encounters with migrants will reach a staggering 300,000 in December 2023, unimaginable just a few years ago. It is said that the level has been reached. This is the highest number ever for a single month, and marks the first time that the number of encounters with migrants has exceeded 300,000.
