A transgender golfer is on track to earn a Women's Professional Golf Association tour card after winning a women's tournament earlier this week.
Haley Davidson, a biological male, took first place at the NXXT Women's Classic on Wednesday at the Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howie in the Hills, Florida. His win in the women's tournament vaulted Davidson to the top of the NXXT Tour leaderboard.
Davidson made the notch. 1,320 points –Most in NXXT, 150 points ahead of the second-place golfer. Davidson finished seventh and ninth in addition to two second-place finishes.
There have been five NXXT events this year, and Davidson has competed in all of them. Additionally he has eight of his NXXT events scheduled.

Since its inception in 1999, more than 600 Epson Tour alumni have earned membership on the LPGA Tour, which will award $4 million in prize money to female golfers starting in 2022.
Davidson attended the Epson Tour Qualifying School in 2022 but was unable to qualify for the Epson Tour.
