Republican governors drawing line on Biden’s border invasion

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has drawn a line under Biden's border violations, writing a letter to the American people and the president – and now other Republican states are joining him.

“The federal government has broken the agreement between the United States and each state,” Abbott said. “The U.S. executive branch has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws that protect the states, including immigration laws currently in place.”

“President Biden is refusing to enforce and even violating these laws,” Abbott continued, accusing Biden of violating his oath to faithfully enforce immigration laws.

“Instead of prosecuting immigrants for the federal crime of illegally entering the country, President Biden sent lawyers to federal court to sue the state of Texas for taking action to secure its borders,” he wrote. “The result would be to illegally allow their mass parole into the United States by wasting taxpayer dollars to destroy Texas' border security infrastructure.”

“The nation should not be at the mercy of a lawless president,” he added.

Glenn Beck believes Abbott is right.

“He declares that the Constitution covers this. He says where does it cover this, how does it cover this, and points out that the federal government has no authority now because it has failed in its duty?” “I'm doing it,” Glenn says.

“Instead of blaming Texas, let's blame the federal government. It's time for states to come together,” he continued.
