A New York couple was charged Thursday after their toddler died after ingesting a deadly cocktail of cocaine, fentanyl and morphine, prosecutors announced.

In a press release from the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office, authorities said they received a call on Jan. 3 about an unresponsive child at the home of Wilkens Adonis and Daryle Liebrock.

When paramedics arrived, they found 14-month-old Joseph Adonis unresponsive in the couple's bedroom, authorities said.

The infant was taken by ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York, where he was pronounced dead.
