Trump’s Dictator Comments ‘Should Turn Your Stomach’
Whoopi Goldberg told her co-hosts on ABC’s “The View” Monday that former President Donald Trump’s comments about being a dictator “should make you angry.”
Co-host Sarah Haynes said: “Now is not the time for a third party to come in. As we know, change comes very slowly in this country. If you look at history, it takes time, for better or worse. We’re in a bipartisan situation right now.”
Goldberg said, “Once again, polls don’t decide elections. The polls are lying because if the polls were correct, Hillary Clinton would have been president.” Don’t trust the polls. Trust what you know — the man who recently said, “I’m going to be a dictator from day one.” ”
“It certainly was,” co-host Sunny Hostin said.
“The fact that the word dictator came out of his mouth as an American citizen,” Goldberg said.
“That’s easy, too,” Hostin said.
Goldberg said, “You should be angry in this country. Your stomach should be turning. That’s the decision. That’s a decision that everyone has to make. Do you want a dictatorship even from day one? Or do you want a dictatorship at all, or do you want to fight through a dictatorship like Americans do and try to build the best country we can put together? That’s your choice.”
