Patrick Mahomes will be looking to win his third Super Bowl title in six years since taking the reins as the Kansas City Chiefs’ starting quarterback.

So far, Mahomes’ trajectory is legendary. He’s already being talked about as the best quarterback of all time, surpassing Tom Brady and Joe Montana. While he may not be exactly there in terms of historic accomplishments or rings, Hall of Fame head coach Dick Vermeil said Mahomes is “on par or better” than those two greats. ” he said.

“There’s a dimension to his game that neither Joe nor Brady had,” Vermeil told 94 WIP on Friday. “The mobility and the ability to be in any body position, any foot position, throw the ball accurately and just make a play. We all have that backfire on us sometimes, but in terms of overall career success. I think he’s destined to surpass them.” ”

Mahomes still has a long way to go in terms of praise. He was selected to the Pro Bowl six times. He is a two-time first-team All-Pro selection. He is also a two-time NFL MVP.

Brady has won seven Super Bowls under him. He was a 15-time Pro Bowler, three-time All-Pro, and three-time MVP. Montana won four Super Bowls, was an eight-time Pro Bowler, a three-time All-Pro, and a two-time MVP.

Mahomes led the team through offensive obstacles throughout the season. Although he didn’t always have that firepower, he still managed to lead the Chiefs to an 11-6 record and a district title.

He finished the season with 4,183 passing yards and 27 touchdown passes. He threw a career-high 14 interceptions. This was the lowest passing yardage and touchdown total since the 2019 season. But if history repeats itself, Mahomes will be hoisting a Super Bowl title by the end of February 11th.
