Yankees heading to Mexico City to end spring training

The Yankees are heading south of the border.

The Yankees announced Friday that they will play two games against Diablos Rojos del Mexico of the Mexican League on March 24 and 25 at Alfred Harp Hell Stadium in Mexico City.

This will be the Yankees’ first trip to Mexico since 1968, when they faced the Diablos Rojos in an exhibition game.

Mexico City is also scheduled to host the regular season MLB game between the Astros and Rockies in April.

Other Yankees players are scheduled to play in Grapefruit League games in Florida on March 24 and 25 and conclude spring training before the regular season opens in Houston on March 28. .

The Yankees begin their spring training schedule on February 24th against the Tigers in Lakeland, Florida, before hosting their first Grapefruit League game against the Phillies at Steinbrenner Field the following day.
