Four suspected drug traffickers with ties to a Mexican international criminal organization were arrested in Oregon with multiple barrels of liquid heroin in a moving truck, authorities said Thursday.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon announced in a news release that the raid was the result of investigators discovering that several individuals believed to be involved in drug trafficking operations were transporting large amounts of illegal drugs into Oregon. After learning about it, it happened on January 25th at a motel in Tigard.
Authorities followed a rental moving truck driven by one of the suspects, accompanied by a red pickup truck, westbound on Interstate 84 near Bonneville until it arrived at a motel, officials said. .
After obtaining a federal search warrant for the vehicle and the suspect’s motel room, investigators said they located eight 55-gallon barrels containing 370 gallons of liquid narcotics from inside the moving truck and from inside the room. Two loaded handguns were found inside.

The 1.4 tons of drugs were later tested and authorities determined that the contents were liquid heroin.

The suspect was identified as Marco Antonio Magalong, 44. Louis Deleon Woodward, 26 years old. Jorge Luis Amador, 25, of Yakima, Washington; Santos Alisael Aguilar Maya, 32, residence unknown.

All four are charged with distribution and possession with intent to distribute heroin, and conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute heroin.
