Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, surprised the pro wrestling world on Friday night when he appeared on Friday Night SmackDown and faced off against WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns. .
WWE fans who saw Cody Rhodes seemingly put his rivalry with Reigns on hold and pass the torch to The Rock were upset by the storyline and took to social media to express their anger.

The Rock posted a clip of his comeback on his Instagram late Saturday.
“Feel the manna,” he wrote. “I was really overwhelmed by this crazy energy from people, I can’t deny it – and it was one of the loudest applause I’ve ever experienced in my career.
“Thank you, Birmingham, Alabama, thank you, WWE, thank you, Cody Rhodes himself, and most importantly, thank you, the people. … Our connection is unbreakable and our bond is electric. ”
He then appeared to address his critics.

He then reposted several videos showing fans’ positive reactions to his return.
The Rock’s appearance comes more than a week after he joined TKO Group Holdings’ board of directors.
He made a special appearance on the “Day 1” episode of Monday Night Raw, which aired on January 1, and cut a promo suggesting he would pursue Reigns’ so-called “Top of the Table.” This set the stage for Friday night’s showdown and likely what will happen about two months later.
