Fetterman blasts pro-Palestinian protesters: ‘Why aren’t you demanding that Hamas surrenders?’

Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman on Wednesday condemned pro-Palestinian protesters calling for a ceasefire during a press conference with families of Israeli hostages held by Hamas.

He made the comments along with a bipartisan group of members of both Houses of Parliament and Israeli Parliament Speaker Amir Ohana.

“During all of this, I think I met with half a dozen family victim organizations. And, you know, everyone should have gone home a long time ago, so it should have stopped.” Fetterman said.

Fetterman said he supports an end to the “suffering and death of innocent Palestinians and Israelis,” but said peace is impossible with the continued existence of Hamas, which invaded Israel on October 7 and massacred more than 1,200 people. He claimed that.

The move comes as the Senate is expected to vote on a security aid package that would provide dollars to Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan.
