We may have the first, but probably not the last, crazy Las Vegas Super Bowl story.
When the NFL announced that Super Bowl III would be held in Las Vegas, speculation immediately began about what absurd stories would pop up that week. He’s the entire media world coming to Sin City with a week’s worth of content? Just imagine what’s going to happen.
Add in images of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey and their surprise all-night chapel wedding, and you just see the content wheels turning.
But it looks as if the first participant in the theater of the absurd has appeared, and it involves the Las Vegas sphere. Did you know, his $2.3 billion structure features an 18,600-seat auditorium, a wrap-around interior LED screen, and an LED exterior?
On Tuesday night, Sphere used it to show off his Super Bowl rings through the years.
But on Wednesday, the scene was something different.

That is correct! On Wednesday, reports surfaced that someone was making a valiant attempt to climb into the sphere itself. There are cameras everywhere these days, so it didn’t take long for the images to appear.
And our climber managed to reach the top.
Is this part of an elaborate Super Bowl commercial? Really, who is still feeling the effects of late nights and early mornings? Are you just a worker changing LED light bulbs? Or is it something else entirely? Is it something?
KTNV in Las Vegas provided the following report.
Astute observers may remember that something similar happened in Phoenix last year.
Well, guess what else this week has in store?
After all, it’s only Wednesday. Super Bowl XV is just days away.
