The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said they responded to a call around 9:30 a.m. from the Albertsons grocery store on West 20th Street in Lancaster.
“When I came in, there was a guy arguing with a customer, and I noticed he had something like a machete under his arm,” said an anonymous Albertsons employee. To KABC TV.

Investigators said they recovered two machetes at the scene.
No other injuries were reported, and police said there were many shoppers in the store at the time. According to the sheriff’s office, three deputies were involved in the shooting.
Investigators say the man had been at the Chevron gas station earlier that day and attacked the clerk around 3 a.m., according to KABC. The employee cut his hand and was taken to the hospital by a customer.
