Hillary Clinton was interrupted Friday by pro-Palestinian demonstrators who denounced policies she supported while serving as secretary of state in the Obama administration from 2009 to 2013.
“Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton, you are a war criminal!” a man yelled as the former secretary of state took to the stage in an auditorium at Columbia University in New York City.
“The people of Libya, the people of Iraq, the people of Syria, the people of Yemen, the people of Palestine, and the people of America will never forgive you,” continued Columbia University Dean Keren Yarhi Mailo. While Mr. Clinton waited with a puzzled look on his face, the International Communications Department took the microphone and called for Mr. Clinton to be fired.

As he was led out of the room, he repeatedly shouted, “Free Palestine, free it!” and “It’s going to burn!”
The former first lady then tried to begin a speech about conflict-related sexual violence, but was interrupted by a second demonstrator, pointing out that “screaming doesn’t solve the problem.”

She tried to persuade the protesters, but gave up as more people joined in, saying, “Okay, let’s stop for a second. Look, you guys can get out of my way so you can win.” ” Please do not interrupt the panelists to avoid such confusion when there are true experts in this field. ”
He added: “People are free to protest, but not to disrupt events or classes, and that will be the standard we live by here and in the future.”

The former Democratic presidential candidate was speaking at the Columbia Center for International Policy, of which she is president.
In November, Clinton also confronted pro-Palestinian protesters outside a class she teaches at the university.

The protest, which took place outside the lecture, was said to have disrupted a class taught by the former first lady and secretary of state called “Inside the Situation Room.”
