A Nevada man who jumped over the bench and attacked a judge after being denied probation last month has been indicted by a grand jury on attempted murder charges.
In court video obtained by Fox News Digital, attorneys for Deobra Redden, 30, ask the judge to grant his client a suspended sentence during a Jan. 3 hearing.
Judge Mary Kay Holthus responded, “I think it’s time for him to try something else.”
Redden was then seen flying into the air over the bench with his limbs spread wide and landing on the judge.

A video of the public hearing in Clark County, Nevada has since gone viral.
Horthus and a marshal near her were both wounded in the attack.
Redden’s nine-count indictment alleges that he attempted to kill Holthus by “grabbing her in an unknown manner and means, pulling her hair, putting her hands around her throat, and punching her in the head.”
He is also accused of “punching, kicking, and pushing” a Las Vegas police officer.
Redden was charged with attempted murder and more than a dozen other charges after the attack, including assault on a protected person causing serious injury and assault by a prisoner.

Horthus’s clerks and marshals were eventually able to restrain Redden.
Redden has a history of violent criminal behavior and was convicted of three felonies and nine misdemeanors.
