Travis Kelce hugs Andy Reid after Super Bowl 2024 blow-up

Now we have some bad blood.

Or are we like that too?

Travis Kelce and Andy Reid seemed to get along as quickly as the internet attacked the Chiefs tight end.

A video of Kelce angrily screaming and appearing to shove the head coach went viral before Kelce approached Reed and hugged him. According to Mike Jones of The Athletic.

The NFL reporter also noted that Reid patted him on the back, which seemed to indicate that things had been reconciled between the two.

In the first half of the 2024 Super Bowl, it looked like the Chiefs’ frustrations were going nowhere as their offense was disorganized and made several critical mistakes.

Kelce lost his cool during the second quarter when Isaiah Pacheco fumbled in the red zone shortly after former Jets receiver Mecole Hardman made a 52-yard catch to drive the Chiefs to the nine-yard line.

The on-camera exchange wasn’t the only thing that frustrated Kelce did.

CBS’ Tracy Wolfson also reported that he similarly threw his helmet while coming off the field against the Raiders in December.

Kelce had just one catch for 1 yard in the first half against the 49ers, and Kansas City went into the locker room trailing 10-3 at halftime.

The in-game abuse was in stark contrast to the praise Kelce was getting before the start of the 2024 Super Bowl after he reportedly gave an impassioned speech at the team hotel on Saturday night.

“His speech was powerful and impactful. I didn’t see a dry eye in the house and this team is absolutely ready,” Coach Wolfson had reported early Sunday.

The Chiefs struggled all night and started the second half with a drive, but it didn’t seem to stop them, as it was punctuated by an interception thrown by Patrick Mahomes.
