An educator alleges in a lawsuit that he was harassed and even subjected to a poop-filled campaign to expel him at the exclusive Trinity School because he was male.
Gerardo Perez, a learning specialist, claims that one day in October 2022, he entered his office and discovered a pile of feces.
The $64,000-a-year school concluded that the feces had been accidentally introduced onto someone’s shoes, but Perez said the size and shape of the dirty deposit meant that the fecal matter had been placed there “intentionally.” It was argued that this suggests that the government was placed in the
Perez said his troubles at the famous Upper West Side prep school, whose alumni include John McEnroe, Oliver Stone, and Manhattan prosecutor Alvin Bragg, began in June 2021, when a female colleague accused Perez of shoddy work and began harassing him to demand answers. I responded to her request immediately.
When he labeled her behavior “aggressive,” she countered that his emails were “microaggressions” against her, according to court documents.
Perez’s colleague, Chaz Terry Crews, who is not a defendant in the lawsuit, said he was “trying to take advantage of Trinity School’s ‘woke’ philosophy” and tried to embarrass Perez’s superiors with his complaints. – Years of litigation is being contested.
Perez, who earned an annual salary of $132,000 and worked at the school from 2020 to 2023, claimed he had repeatedly complained of “persistent harassment” to no avail.
He was fired on February 24th.
When he asked why he was fired, managers cited an ongoing dispute with a disgruntled co-worker, he claimed.
He is seeking unspecified damages from Mr Trinity, Principal John Allman and Deputy Principal Alexis Mulvihill.
“Mr. Perez is beloved by students and parents at Trinity School and has received glowing reviews throughout his tenure,” attorney Dylan Wiley told the Post. “We intend to prove through extensive documentary evidence that Mr. Perez was targeted to protect himself from a hostile work environment based on his gender.”
Trinity School declined to comment.
