MSNBC contributor Claire McCaskill said Thursday on “Morning Joe” that a New York Times article titled “Fact-checking Biden’s latest economic stories” was “ridiculous” and criticized the president’s comments. He pointed out that some of the information was misleading.
Mr MacAskill said: “If you’re lucky enough to travel the world several times a year, do you know what the rest of the world sees right now? They think America has the strongest economy. They see America as having cutting-edge technology. American universities remain bright lights in terms of academics and research. They see American companies as having the most advanced technology in terms of global expansion. But do you know what they’re staring right under their noses? About Donald Trump being the leader. When you go on a trip, everyone says, “Well. , we won’t elect him again, will we?” Has the country not learned? You will never give power to this man again, will you? Please tell me he won’t be re-elected. Please tell me he learned his lesson. ” So the only stain on America, the great country of the world, is actually Donald Trump. ”
She went on to say: “May I make a suggestion?” I urge America’s newspapers to stop fact-checking Joe Biden altogether until they fact-check Donald Trump on their front pages every morning. The New York Times fact-checking Joe Biden is ridiculous. I mean, he lies, Trump lies too. And he does it again and again and again, every day. And it’s just ridiculous that the New York Times is fact-checking Biden while condoning Trump’s statements — they’re numb to the torrent of lies coming out of Trump’s mouth. ”
