Mom brings son, 7, to bus stop to fight boy — then she beats up boy’s 13-year-old brother who was protecting him, cops say

A 25-year-old mother took her 7-year-old son to a school bus stop to get into a fight with a boy his own age, after which she beat his 13-year-old brother who was defending the boy. They are brothers, police said.

Chris was booked into the Shelby County Jail on Wednesday on charges of assault/bodily harm, child abuse and neglect, according to jail records. WHBQ said the charges are misdemeanors.

According to WREG, Chris is scheduled to go to trial on Thursday. She posted $5,000 bail Thursday, according to jail records.
