Trump Is ‘Weakness Masquerading as Strength’

Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” that former President Donald Trump has “weakness disguised as strength.”

Anchor Kristen Welker said, “I’m aware of reports that former President Obama warned President Biden not to underestimate President Trump. I don’t think Democrats are underestimating Trump at this point. Do you have it?”

Newsom said, “No. I think he’s weakness masquerading as strength. I think he’s more unstable. He’s less interesting than he was a few years ago. Just this week, his comments, more like blatant You’ve heard some racist comments, including just basic policy issues like the overwhelmingly popular repeal of Obamacare and the highest ACA enrollment numbers in years. It’s crazy how quickly it’s unraveling. At the end of the day, the reality is he hasn’t budged and was a much weaker candidate than he was a few years ago. The Democrats are stronger. We’re winning. .”

“We continue to win and outperform, and Donald Trump is a big part of that, and he’s going to be the Republican nominee,” he added.

“American manufacturing will come home because of Mr. Biden’s wisdom, sobriety, and his underrated ability to lead in a bipartisan manner,” Newsom added. I have great confidence moving forward and am completely committed to the next four years of Mr. Biden. ”

He concluded, “Back to my point: weakness disguised as strength.”
