Nikki Haley’s presidential campaign continues to suffer major losses.
Even those who supported her are now losing support.
Americans for Prosperity, a network with ties to billionaire Charles Koch, no longer funds her.
“With South Carolina’s presidential primary this weekend and Senate engagement in full swing, we are taking stock of where we are and, as we always do,… “The time has come to optimize our resources.” It will have the greatest impact on our goals.”
An influential network linked to billionaire Charles Koch will no longer invest in former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley’s money in the Republican presidential primary, instead focusing on key Senate and House races. The focus was announced in an email to staff obtained by CNN.
“With this weekend’s South Carolina presidential primary and Senate engagement in full swing, we are taking stock of where we are and, as we always do, in order to be most effective in achieving our goals. The time has come to optimize our resources,” wrote American Prosperity President and CEO Emily Seidel.
The support of Americans for Prosperity in November was a big boost for Haley, who is trying to become a strong candidate to replace former President Donald Trump in the Republican primary. Pledging to support a single candidate in the Republican presidential primary for the first time in history, conservative groups have committed vast resources and a standing army of activists to replace the former U.N. ambassador. But while the race has been decided between Haley and Trump, the former president remains the likely front-runner after a landslide victory in Haley’s home state on Saturday.
Seidel emphasized that AFP Action still supports Haley, even if it no longer invests money to strengthen her campaign, adding that she is “supporting her candidacy. She has shown us time and time again that she made the right decision, and she continues to have our strong support.” ”
Donald Trump reacted to this news, pointing out what a waste of money it is.
Americans for Prosperity announced that Haley had no chance of winning and would immediately stop funding her campaign. What a waste of money!
